Made it out the Lizard Lounge a couple weeks back to see The Violet Lights. Love the venue. The acts are up close and on your level, and the beer selection is excellent. Everything you need for a good night out.
Here’s a bad photo of an art car found in Cambridge. It’s something. I haven’t seen one of these since I went to Berkeley this one time a few years ago. Meoww.
Here’s a quick snap of the sign outside the modest cambridge home brew store. I got a kit, and I’m getting ready for my first batch. I hope this will get me drunk.
Here’s a bunch of quick snaps from the first Boston Thursday Night Throwdown at the unopened Dwell Time Cafe in Cambridge. It was hip, so I used filters. It was just a bunch of fun, and the unfinished cafe made for a great arena for these barista’s to do battle. The final was macchiato pours.
Here’s a quick snap of two middle age men with guitars. They played a great set at the Cambridge Winter Farmer’s Market.
Doesn’t this place sound awesome? It was closed, but it’s probably way better in my head than it will be IRL.
Here’s a quick snap of the Civil War Memorial in Cambridge Common at sunset. I was just walking and I was like, “Woah tall thing,” so I did some research. That little guy way at the top is General Charles Russell Lowell, who fought in the Civil War. In the center of the monument is a statue of Abe Lincoln giving the Gettysburg address. Go figure.
Have you ever taken the train from Porter Square? The escalators are wicked tall. This shot is halfway down, and it’s easily still twice the size of a normal escalator.
Here’s a snap of a light installation in Harvard Sq. My lady asked what it was, and since I had Thanksgiving on the brain, I thought the obvious answer was Space Turkey. I don’t think it’s actually anything though.
